Wayne Dunnington began his journey in the oil and gas industry in 1996 as an operator, gaining invaluable hands-on operational experience. He attended the University of Lethbridge, studying Kinesiology and Management, which provided him with a unique strategic perspective that he has carried throughout his career. With nearly three decades of industry involvement, Wayne has worked with both junior and large producers as well as vendors, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry’s diverse challenges and opportunities.
Wayne has become a recognized authority in regulatory compliance, measurement optimization, and operational efficiency. His extensive background includes building and implementing numerous FDC systems and actively contributing to regulatory frameworks by assisting the IMG, BCER, AER, and CAPPA in regulatory writings. Notably, he played a pivotal role in developing the effluent decision tree for the BCER (formerly the OGC), in collaboration with CAPPA.
