TOPIC OUTLINE

Accurate measurement schematics are essential for understanding facility processes, measurement points, field data, and accounting requirements. Production Accountants need to be equipped with accurate schematics for their wells and facilities to avoid costly errors by creating verifiable production accounting formulas and processes. Through presentation, examples, and group exercises this seminar offers participants an opportunity to learn how to interpret these diagrams to better ensure their monthly PA results are accurate.

Robert Elliott, Supervisor Property Accounting at CNRL

Robert has 25+ years of upstream oil and gas experience where he has worked for regulatory, service, and producer companies. He is a CAPPA instructor who has taught conventional oil and gas production reporting and currently facilitates CAPPA’s Schematics Seminar. Robert currently works at CNRL where he is a Supervisor of Property Accounting.

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary University, Robert started his career in the late 80’s as a core handler at the ERCB Core Research Centre. From here his regulatory experience at the ERCB progressed through various positions in production reporting, drilling and completions, field operations, measurement, and audit. Robert joined Canadian Natural Resources Limited in 2006 where his focus has been property accounting.

Balancing work, Robert is a coach for Novice and Peewee hockey teams and also enjoys playing and performing music with his band. Robert is married with two young sons.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellations must be received by email to office@cappa.org in order to cancel event registration.

The following refund policy applies to this event:

Full refunds will be given if cancellation to CAPPA occurs prior to midnight on May 9, 2017

A 50% refund will be given if cancellation to CAPPA occurs prior to midnight on May 17, 2017

Refunds will not be given after May 21th.

A $20 administration fee is applies to full and partial refunds.

Registration, however, may be transferred to another attendee without an administration fee. Please notify CAPPA of the transfer to another attendee. The original registrant would be responsible to sort the payment out offline with the new attendee.
