CAPPA is holding a special event focused on supporting unemployed CAPPA members and industry non-members* to get back into the workforce.
The event will provide a variety of informational sessions and speakers presenting on the following topics:
- Networking in-person and through LinkedIn
- Employment Standards and Employment Insurance
- Evaluating opportunities – is this the right one for ME and how do I negotiate salary?
- Updating your skills during job loss – continuing education opportunities
- How to write a resume that gets noticed
- Interviewing well – the art and science
- Navigating applicant tracking systems
- How to get through the tough times and take care of yourself
- Managing money and credit during unemployment
EVENT SCHEDULE
8:45 – 9:10 am Arrival and registration
9:15 – 9:30 am Welcome and opening remarks
9:30 – 12:30 pm Concurrent sessions every 40 minutes
12:30 – 1:00 pm Networking and Exhibitor Booths
Free entry for CAPPA, CAPLA, CAPL, PJVA, PASC members
Non-member fee: $15.00 + GST (online by credit card). (Non-members will need to set up a brief profile for registration)

*This event is for CAPPA members and industry non-members who are Production Accountants, Revenue Accountants, Royalty Accountants, Oil & Gas Accountants or Production Analysts (non-members will need to verify job title by resume or LinkedIn profile). Members of CAPP, CAPL, CAPLA, IRWA, PASC and PJVA are also invited to attend at the member rate.
