CAPPA’s annual curling bonspiel event was held on April 9, 2015 at the Calgary Curling Club. This year, 21 novices and more experienced players came together for a day of having fun on ice.
Enthusiastic participants enjoyed mingling over lunch followed by an excellent clinic for the novices offered by Dan Bubola of the Calgary Curling Club. The five teams then took to the sheets and had fun in the afternoon competing with each other.
The novices particularly were pleased with their curling experience. It was the first time curling for several of them who quickly took to the game and competed well with the experienced curlers.
A short presentation for prize distribution was held at the end of the event for the winning teams. A lucky draw also took place for several door prizes where many participants took home exciting prizes.
