Mark Flynn
Mark Flynn is a past director for Measurement and Reporting Consultancy. Mark has over thirty years’ experience in measurement, measurement process, quality auditing, and measurement facility inspections. He is the Past Chairman of the Industry Measurement Group, past Director of the Canadian Institute of Hydrocarbon Measurement, an active Volunteer with the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon measurement, and a Volunteer speaker with CAPPA. Mark has participated in many of the AER/OGC/ECON subcommittees in the creation of measurement and reporting requirements for Western Canada. Mark is currently a member of the rewrite subcommittee for the Measurement requirements for Upstream Oil and Gas Operations with AER/OGC/ECON.
Mark is certified by Measurement Canada under the Electricity and Gas inspection act and the Weights and Measures Act. He has over thirteen years’ experience inspecting, sampling, testing, and auditing measurement facilities under the Measurement Canada Acts and Regulations.
Mark has worked in measurement positions with Gas Transmission companies, Gas and Electrical Utilities, Oil pipeline companies, and hydrocarbon liquid pipeline companies, midstream companies, Cavern Storage companies, government regulators, and oil and gas production companies. He recently consulted for Tinbox Energy Software in the creation of a single software system that does SCADA, FDC, Allocations, Nominations, Validation, and Reporting. Mark has worked plant allocation issues from almost every possible industry angle.
