British Columbia has rekindled their interest in Petrinex and has launched into joint BC/Petrinex Business Case workshops this winter.
Representatives from British Columbia include the Ministry of Natural Gas Development, the Ministry of Finance and the Oil and Gas Commission. Petrinex staff and a limited number from industry reps are also included in discussions.
The workshops are examining Petrinex’s current functionality to determine a fit for BC’s needs as well as identifying any new functionality that may be required. The workshops will lead to the development of a detailed business case which will outline costs, benefits and any risks associated with BC joining Petrinex.
Results and recommendations are anticipated in early summer.
