Workshop Outline

Not being on LinkedIn, or being on it and using it poorly, can be detrimental. Purposeful, strategic use can bring meaningful benefits. It can be difficult to keep up with the ins and outs in the ever-changing world of social media platforms. It is important to stay visible, especially on networking sites such as LinkedIn. Why should you use LinkedIn, even if you have a job you love? Quite simply, LinkedIn offers professional networking, professional development and visibility.

Participants will learn easy ways to use LinkedIn to manage and grow a career.

Learning objectives and takeaways of the session are:

  • YOUR PROFILE: How to build or enhance your LinkedIn profile with appropriate keywords for maximum impact and effectiveness
  • DON’T SET IT AND FORGET IT! Easy ways to use LinkedIn to stay current, up to date and active in your field
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNTIES: Learn to use LinkedIn as a tool to enhance your own networking and professional development, share your expertise, and maintain contact with colleagues
Optional: Bring your own laptop (fully charged – no electric provided) or Smartphone. Wi-fi available.
