CAPPA Board of Directors Nominations 2018

CAPPA needs you!  Here is your chance to help lead your Professional Association dedicated to advancing Production Accounting and the careers of our Members.

Nominations are now open for CAPPA Members to step into the tremendous opportunity to serve on the CAPPA Board of Directors.

The Benefits of Volunteering are many, and the ability to serve as a Director of your Association is a wonderful professional responsibility as well as an opportunity to give back to your colleagues and industry.

As a CAPPA Board of Director you are in a position to:

• Participate in fulfilling the Association’s Mission;
• Take an active role in advancing our Profession;
• Be up to date on issues and matters affecting the current and future role of Production Accountants;
• Have the chance to exchange ideas and perspectives with other Association Leaders;
• Gain experience working on a Governance Board.

While all CAPPA members will be considered, the ideal candidate is:

• CAPPA Member in good standing;
• Current or recent 5 years’ experience or more in a Production Accounting role;
• Demonstrated Leadership commitment;
• Expertise in one or more areas of organizational management such as Finance, Budget, Policy Development, Advocacy, Relationship Management, Fundraising, Not-for-profit Management;
• Able to commit to attending all quarterly Board Meetings plus the Annual General Meeting (ad hoc board or sub-committee meetings as needed);
• Excellent Communication and Inter-personal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and engage in appropriate debate and discussion;
• Have an established industry network;
• Be visionary and a strategic thinker;
• Not someone who wishes to be in involved at an operational or day to day detail level.

The deadline to submit the nomination form is midnight September 5, 2018.

Nominees and nominators must be CAPPA members in good standing as at the 2018 – 2019 membership year. Each form must have two nominators.
